Ghairat Khan Afridi was a well known and reputed Pashtun Nationalist Politician of Darra Adam khail,a tribal territory in south of Peshawar also known as F.R Peshawar,who closed his eyes and said good bye to his friends,well-wishers,family and all those who knew him the other day.He got wounded in a terrorist attack in Darra Adamkhel on last sunday at a time when he along with other Pashtun elders was busy in a jirga thinking how to wipe out terrorism from the area and restore peace and tranquility there.Scores of the other elders and common pashtun killed and some got serious injured.Some of them took last breath in hospitals.Ghairat Khan Afridi was one of those who martyred in hospital,after noticing his family and friends in a cordial mood and exchanched his views with them.Haji Ghairat Khan was having a towering personality and was never tired to serve Pashtun day and night.He was commited with his cause to the extent that he had no fear of any one.He spent all what he had for his nation and left nothing for his family.His services for his people were myraid.He was a staunch supporter of the Pashtun National Unity and nothing could budge him from his chosen path..Most of his time was spent in jails while struggling hard to remove black law of FCR from the tribal Pashtuns.On each and every stage,he raised his voice against FCR and apprised all and sundry about the issues concerning Pashtuns.It is evident from his deeds to serve his People,fighting against terrorism and to restore peace in Pashtun region,he gave his life for this cause.He used to say that his blood was trust of Pashtun and he proved it that his blood shed for the defence of Pashtuns.
