KABUL, Afghanistan (Feb. 14) – The Qala-e-Naw Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) opened a clinic in Quipcak Village, Ab Kamari District Feb. 12.
A ceremony to inaugurate the clinic’s opening was chaired by the PRT deputy commander, Lt. Col. Jesús Lanza Mollá, and Mohammed Ashraf Nasseri, Badghis Provincial governor.
In addition to a wide crowd of people who attended the event, the coordinator of the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation, provincial chief of the National Afghan Police, head of the Provincial Public Health Department and the Ab Kamari District administrator were also present.
The Badghis governor thanked the Spanish PRT for sustaining the improvement of the local public health system. Moreover, he encouraged all the local people to reach a stable and secure environment that makes the reconstruction and development easier.
The Spanish-led PRT was actively involved in the project and plans to continue work to improve the living conditions of Badghis Province people.
