Report of PTM delegation to UN human rights council 43rd session in Geneva – day 1
The official PTM delegation, consisting of Mr,. Yousuf Ali Khan advocate and Dr. Erfan Nur arrived in Geneva on 2nd of March and participated the 43rd session on 3rd of March.
PTM delegation is presenting PTM demands of nonviolence, peace and justice to United Nation
in this session from March 3 to March 5, 2020. Unfortunately, all side sessions where we were planned to present our case, have been cancelled due to the corona virus outbreak.
However, we did participate in the General Assembly meeting of the United Nations Human Rights session. The delegation has been able to meet personally with human rights activists of various countries (such as Germany, France, Italy, Kosovo, United States, Canada Switzerland, Iran and Pakistan). Our delegation presented our message of nonviolent struggle for equal rights and against brutal, cultural and socio-economical oppression by Pakistan. They were briefed aboutwhat had happened over the past two decades inthe Pashtun belt under the pretext of war on terror. We explained to them that Pakistani army has been using the war on terror as a business project. Earning billions of dollars in financial and military help while using that many to further cultivate proxy terrorist groups to oppress Pashtuns on both sides of the Durand line. They promised that they would focus more on PTM and let the world know about the plight of Pashtuns, indeed one of the most oppressed nations in the world.
With warm Pashtun regards,
Your modest but proud representatives in Geneva,
March 3, 2020
