KABUL, Afghanistan (August 7) — ISAF’s French Operational Mentoring and Liaison Team (OMLT) recently arrived at a base in Uruzgan province.
The team had driven from Kandahar Airfield in a convoy of 94 vehicles guarded
by Afghan National Army and ISAF forces.
“It was one of the biggest convoys in Regional Command South in years. We were filling up about 7 kilometres of the road,” said Captain Ralph, commander of the convoy.
The French OMLT will provide training and support to the infantry battalions of the ANA in Uruzgan.
